The board of directors of the commercial foundation consists of representatives from permanent residents, the business community, the fishing port and the municipal council. In addition, the board has chosen to supplement itself with two members elected by the board.
The board of directors must only safeguard the purpose and interests of the foundation, cf. section 38(1)(1) of the Danish Business Foundations Act. The provision also contains a description of the tasks incumbent on the board of directors of commercial foundations.

The Foundation Board
The Bønnerup Harbor Foundation is run by the foundation board. The purpose of the foundation is to own and operate Bønnerup Fishing and Marina. The main task of the foundation board is to develop and secure finances to keep port works and buildings in proper condition and operate the Port of Bønnerup.
